等著健記來接我的空檔,隨便翻閱學校免費贈送的報紙Los Alamos Monitor(通常傍晚時分,他們就會送很多分來給學校,因為接近傍晚也不會有人要買報紙了)。 ESL students introduced to the animal shelter" 是一篇佔了三分之一版面的報導呢!

The students first explored the cat room where they became acquainted with some of the numerous cats waiting to be adopted. Han Ju Tsai, from Taiwan, was one of the most comfortable among the wandering kitties and she made a couple of feline friends immediately. "I really miss my cats in my home country. I'm glad that I have the opportunity to enjoy the company of these homeless animals," Tsai said. She has already returned to the shelter twice since the class visit, bring her husband for an orientation so that they could be volunteers together.

The visit prompted similar sentiments from many of the students, who want to become more involved in the community, but are sometimes timid because of their newness to the language and the culture....The ESL students learned that love-hungry dogs and cats at the shelter don't care what language you speak. Affection is international.
